We didn’t set out to build an AI company. We set out to fit golfers into better equipment.
The name is deliberate. To forge is to make something that survives the refiner’s fire, and that’s what a great fitting is: equipment built so the golfer feels confidence standing over the ball, ready to pull off the shot. That confidence is the whole job. Everything we build serves it.
But the fitting industry hasn’t changed in decades, and it’s quietly working against everyone in the room. The wall of options overwhelms the customer. Overwhelmed customers don’t feel confident. Customers who don’t feel confident don’t buy. So the fitter, watching their time go to sessions that don’t convert, starts charging for the fitting itself, and the experience meant to sell the clubs becomes a paywall in front of them. And around it goes.
We watched it happen in every bay: a great fitter, mid-session, holding 150,000 club combinations, live inventory, and every shot the golfer just hit on TrackMan, all in their head. The best ones made it look easy. But their skill was trapped in their own experience: impossible to hand to the next fitter, impossible to scale past the room they stood in. And too often the session ended with “let me email you some options,” and the sale walked out the door.
The data was already there. TrackMan was already reading every shot. It just had nowhere to go.
